West Liberty Foods partners with nonprofit Cool Choices

West Liberty, Iowa-based West Liberty Foods, a supplier of packaged lunchmeats for store brand programs, said it partnered with a nonprofit group called Cool Choices to sponsor an eight-week game aimed at developing and reinforcing good habits tied to sustainability. The game will focus specifically on energy conservation and sustainable actions that can save resources and money. As a leader in sustainability and a verified landfill-free company, West Liberty Foods said it felt this partnership was a great way to expand on activities already in place at each facility while creating a fun contest among team members.

"The game is a great way for our team members to have a little fun with sustainability and see how a little change at work or home can make a huge impact," said Michele Boney, environmental compliance officer for West Liberty Foods.
