Rockline Industries' Joseph Wahlquist receives industry award

Rockline Industries, a Sheboygan, Wis.-based manufacturer of private label consumer wet wipes and coffee filters, announced that Joseph D. Wahlquist, vice president of global materials development, received the 12th Lifetime Technical Achievement Award from INDA, the association of the nonwoven fabrics industry. The award recognizes excellence in technical innovation in the nonwovens industry and is given to individuals who have significantly contributed to the commercial success of the industry as a whole.

A 37-year veteran of the nonwovens industry who has contributed to six patents, Wahlquist joined Rockline in 2000, the company stated. In his role as vice president, he manages the development and commercialization of nonwoven fabric substrates and specialty papers for Rockline around the world.

“Rockline Industries congratulates Joe Wahlquist on his outstanding achievement,” said Randy Rudolph, president, Rockline Industries. “Joe’s innovations in the nonwovens industry have been paramount in Rockline’s success for the past 14 years, and we’re thrilled that INDA has awarded him with such a great honor.”

Wahlquist received the award at the INDA Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference on March 11, Rockline noted. Since 2001, INDA’s Lifetime Technical Achievement Award is given to individuals who have a long established technical career in the nonwovens industry. Recipients are nominated by member companies and interested stakeholders. INDA’s technical advisory board then determines the winner based upon a candidate’s nonwovens technology involvement, active INDA membership and at least 20 years of industry service based on advancing the technology of the industry and culminating with commercial successes.
