PL Sees It Through Attack on New York City

Everyone at PRIVATE LABEL MAGAZINE and its sister
publications is safe and sound, but the publications web sites
were knocked out for five days by the terrorist attack on New
York Citys World Trade Center that claimed the lives of
thousands of innocent people.
PLs main office in Fort Lee, New Jersey, across the
Hudson River from New York City, was evacuated shortly before
noon Tuesday, Sept. 11, on account of a rumored threat to the
George Washington Bridge, which is just a short distance away.
Meanwhile, the PRIVATE LABEL MAGAZINE web site as well as
the other magazines of E.W. Williams Publications were down
because the server for them had relied on a connection that ran
through the World Trade Center. An alternate route was found,
and the sites were back up by Sunday, Sept. 16.
Although our employees in Fort Lee were never in any
personal danger, they could see the World Trade Center burning
from our office there. We appreciate the expressions of sympathy
that we have received from around the world.
