Aldi is boosting its presence in two east coast markets with the opening of new stores in Philadelphia, Penn. and Lakeland, Fla.

The locations in Eastern Pennsylvania and in the central Florida community located between Tampa and Orlando will officially open their doors on Thursday, March 9. The Philadelphia location is on S. 20th Street and the Lakeland store is on S. Florida Avenue.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card during the opening weekend from March 9 through March 12.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Bob Grammer, Center Valley regional vice president for Aldi. “We have served this community for more than 30 years and are excited to continue to offer Philadelphia residents an affordable way of shopping.”

Matt Thon, Aldi’s Haines City regional vice president, said the new Lakeland store further enhances the grocer’s presence in a community it has served for 15 years.
